The idea
Kaarigar means craftsman, and sathi means companion. Finding a reliable local tradesperson in most Indian towns still happens through word of mouth. Kaarigar-Sathi puts those connections online and makes the job itself visible.
What I built
- Real-time job tracking. Customers can see where a job stands at any moment. The feature is used by around 1,200 people a month.
- Location-based matching. Customers are matched with tradespeople near them, which raised successful connections by 40%.
- A fast API. Node.js and Express on MongoDB, designed for heavy traffic, cutting response times by 40%.
